Maritime Adventure Education for all ages
The Floating Classroom Trust is developing a Marine Education Programme to help promote awareness, understanding, and enjoyment of our maritime nation, Aotearoa New Zealand, in the South Pacific.

We will keep you informed about the developments of the Floating Classroom project.

The programme will include recreational and commercial boating, aquatic sports and outdoor education, marine research and environmental education, and training for marine-based industries.
The comprehensive programme will detail the learning opportunities and experiences for people of all ages, with courses specifically designed for delivery onboard a Floating Classroom.
Some of the courses will be linked directly to the NZ School Curriculum, to NZ Coastguard Boating Education Service and Maritime School courses, and to other training frameworks. These will include educational activities catering for primary and intermediate aged school children, along with other educational opportunities for older age groups, including adults.
